Vino Dious is a charming small winery with low production volume but huge potential for growth. The viticultural life beneath the Small Carpathian Mountains was greatly influenced by the noble Pálffy family and that is the history we bring to our wine. Vino Dious resides in a historical manorial wine cellar from the 17th century that used to be a part of Smolenice Castle. The term ‘Dious’ comes from the ancient name of Horné Orešany village, which was shaped by the Pálffy Family, and it represents Orešany’s traditional quality of wine. The goal of the Vino Dious winemakers is to make only wines of the highest standards. With up-to-date winemaking technology and application of traditional methods Vino Dious produces delicious, Old World vintage wines of Central European grape varieties, as well as international varieties.
